Pill for Teens and Adults with Severe Alopecia Areata

Olumiant (baricitinib) — once-daily pill for teens and adults with severe alopecia areata

This is for families and adults living with severe alopecia areata who are 12 years or older. It explains the US prescribing-information expansion in September 2026 that added adolescents to Olumiant (baricitinib), the EU SmPC adolescent wording, the once-daily oral path through dermatology, and what BRAVE-AA-PEDS showed. It is not an under-12 approval, not a cream, and not a reason to skip infection and lab screening. Authorized is not funded.
